Space Monkey is the traveling projection art project by Dawn of Man, made famous by the article in the New York Times about outdoor projection mapping, “When Skyscrapers Are Your Screen.” Space Monkey has been known to appear unannounced all over his hometown of New York City, as well as a growing number of cities around the country, inciting dance parties and good times wherever he goes. For Dlectricity, Dawn Of Man will collaborating with Space Monkey to create a brand new “Space Monkey Detroit” themed installation, to demonstrate our collective fascination with and love for “Motor City”.
