POOF! is a giant creature sporting a symbiotic relationship with humans. POOF! relies on its bright and colorful good looks to get people to feed it. By creating joy and fun for all that meet it, POOF! gets fed all the tasty neon poofs it could ever want! Enjoy watching the colorful foods make their way through POOF! and then fly out again.
This glowing, weird geodesic dome is a kinetic experience. Participants move in and out of the “creature” feeding in new poofs and then watching as they fly out from the ceiling and walls of the inside. The tubes weave, loop, and cross making it a surprise where these neon foods will come out next.
Powered by a strong air current, the system hurls the soft, lightweight materials (poofs) through transparent tubes in a blur of colors. At night, the black lights are activated making the UV reactive poofs, lips, organs, accessories, and dome itself glow with bright neon colors.

Bradley Scherzer is a working artist, art educator and arts coordinator dealing in both studio and public art making. He lives in Toledo, Ohio and currently teaches art at Fremont Ross High School in Fremont, Ohio. Much of his recent work has been organizing/engaging communities and youth in public-art making. He also creates large-scale murals and art installations. As a matter of both profession and ambition, he pursues ways to engage youth and the general public in the arts, and furthermore engage other artists in art making. He is compelled to combine his art practice with his many tangential interests and daily discoveries, the results of which are often both novel and familiar. Through the diversity of his creations he hopes to manifest the spoils of his research, experimentation, and creativity.
