All sorts of lights have a different impact on people. The affect of a child’s night light is soothing compared to a seizure inducing strobe. My installation for Dlectricity is based on the idea that we are sensitive to light. The red and blue lights found flashing on top of police cars resonate with each of us differently. For some they instill fear while others rest assured. The lights without the police officer, removed from the vehicle and rearranged, are to be observed and enjoyed. I like to think of it as an abstract crime scene, devoid of any real threat or danger.
